BILLINGS — With only a few days remaining before the general election, absentee ballots are flowing into the county elections office at a record pace.

“I’m pretty sure we’re going to have a record turnout,” said Bret Rutherford, Yellowstone Count elections administrator, on Wednesday morning. He noted that in 2006, the county received just shy of 60,000 total ballots.
