Dear Editor,
I missed seeing a couple of the usual good things in the June 21st YCN. One was the fun-to-read, if shamelessly self-promoting, news about the paper itself from Jonathan. The other was the “progressive” opinion column of Jennifer Merecki.
It isn’t that I agree with her, nor do I know her personally. As a conservative, I’m more of a Krayton Kerns kind of guy, although I get “RINO” accusations these days since I make no secret of being appalled by the personality and style of Donald Trump.
But at any rate, Ms. Merecki’s column gives a nice balance to the paper. I’m sure not all your readers are of one (i.e., my) mindset. She writes in an intelligent and thought-provoking way. We on the other side can be both amazed and amused that someone with those qualities can be so wrong!
I hope her absence from YCN is only temporary. It’s good for people on all sides to reexamine their own thinking.
