What a Hail of a storm!

A severe thunderstorm moved through the Yellowstone County area early Tuesday morning with rain and hail covering the surrounding area. At about 2:30 am Tuesday Morning July 5, 2022. A severe thunderstorm coupled with lightning, hail and rain covered the landscape damaging cars, trucks, homes, shattering windows and animals.

Here are some images of Hail that was captured and sent to the Yellowstone County News

this morning July 5, 2022.

Some of the images of hail stones are reaching diameters about the size of a tennis ball.  Other sizes are ranging from golf ball size hail but the majority of hail that is being reported in the Lockwood area was the size of ping pong balls. These images of hail stones are from three different areas in Yellowstone County randing from just outside of Billings, to Huntley, Shepherd and out to Worden.
