Dear Editor,
In response to Ann Chontos of Custer, Mt. Jan 25-19 letter, Ms. Chontos, I must admit it is admirable that Jon Tester has been married only once. In response to your comment about President Trump being married three times as a “gimmick,” is wholly disrespectful to the tens of thousands of Americans that have been married more than once. These thousands of Americans that have remarried, have struggled to (again) pick up by their boot straps to regain the American dream and to take care of their families. Mam, we don’t know how many hundreds of families in Yellowstone County alone have been married more than once, and it is very unfair for you to accuse them of “gimmicking.” We don’t know what President Trump’s reasons were for his two previous marriages, nor is it any of our business.
Many of these hard-working American taxpayers have recovered from broken hearts, possibly caused by death of a loving husband or wife, so if they remarried, I’m sure they don’t consider their current loving life partner a “gimmick.” Even if there is another reason they remarried, it’s not our business, yet they love each other and are working hard and I’m sure now and then fend off liberals’ caustic, offending remarks such as yours. Many have what today is called a blended family – commendable and loving, simply because they feel blessed.
Ann, Mam… you forgot to include a Ronald Reagan, who also was married two times; Roy Rogers married three times; JFK’s numerous trysts with other women while married to Jackie; Sen. Baucus married three times; Liz “Pocahontas” Warren married twice; “Crazy” Bernie Sanders married twice. I could name half of our Congressional delegation that have been married and remarried, but I promised Mr. McNiven I would try to keep my letters short from now on.
I must, however, identify, or better yet expose, more Liberal hypocrisy. Let’s look at Liberal famous men, three actually, for whom I think you must admire, Ann – your readers may relish:
No. 1: Keith Ellison, Attorney General for Minnesota, arrested for domestic abuse, a woman he chose to “gimmick” with, just to live with, yet not to marry her, or cherish her. And I believe he claims to be a peace loving, “faithful” Muslim.
No. 2: (Slick Willy)… William Jefferson Clinton. Married to Liberal loser Hillary, yet assaulted one woman in the Oval Office, then had a “gimmick” relationship with Monica Lewinsky in the Oval Office, and assaulted at least four other women while still in the White House or running for office. Oh, but spare me, these were not “gimmicks,” they were confirmed (by the Liberal press) as sexual assaults by a sitting president, yet given a pass by that same Liberal press.
No. 3: In response to Lauris Byxbe of Pompeys Pillar: I agree that we should have “Love, compassion and respect for everyone.” Mam, you forgot to mention Barrack Hussein Obunga’s comment on 3-20-09 when he insulted thousands of Americans with disabilities, when he compared his own bowling skills with those of the “Special Olympics.” He also insulted America’s finest police officers of Cambridge, MA in July 2009, when he publicly stated that “police were acting stupidly.” Mam, many of us agree with you, but in the future, please check the facts on Liberals for more information.
Oh, by the way Ann, I’ve been married to my first wife, a loving and beautiful Christian woman for 34 years, and she’s not a “gimmick.”
