Stanley Rae Welborn
was born in Garfield County, Montana 6/11/1931 to Bill & Captola Potts Welborn. He went to be with his savior, Jesus Christ on April 3, 2023, at his home in Glenrock, WY.
He was the fourth child, with five more to come along after him. Stan moved with his family to the North Side of the Yellowstone below the Pompey’s Pillar rock in 1934, and grew up on the family ranch. He graduated from Huntley Project High School in 1949.
Stan joined the US Army in 1950 and was stationed in Germany. He loved going to Holland on his R & R. He was honorably discharged from the Army in 1953, and returned to Montana. He attended Montana State for a year, then returned again to the family ranch. read more
