Verland A. Thomas
Verland A Thomas of Huntley passed away on July 2, 2020. He was born June 21, 1939 to Clyde and Alma Thomas in Lewistown, MT.
He grew up on the family ranch south of Moore, MT. He attended and graduated from Moore High School in 1957. He attended Billings Business School. He started his banking career in Billings and had a career in banking for over 25 years. He taught banking classes at Eastern Montana College . In 1986, he went into the auto salvage business in Huntley, MT.
In 1959, he married Erlyne Holmquist in Lewistown, MT. They had two children, Teri Thomas Durand of Spokane, WA, and Greg Thomas of the family home. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, two children and 2 grandsons, Zach and Jake Durand of Spokane, WA. One sister, Sharon Drake of Billings, many cousins, nieces and nephews, many good friends and neighbors.
He will be missed by many and free of pain as he watches over us in heaven. He has been cremated and no services are planned. Condolences may be sent to his family in Huntley, MT.
