Obituary: Nancy Kay Pollock

Nancy Kay Pollock

Nancy Kay Pollock, 59, of Billings gained her angel wings on Feb. 5, 2021. Nancy was born in Billings on Oct. 6, 1961, to Ronald and Violet (Krum) Balzer.

She grew up on the family farm and later graduated from Huntley Project High School. During her high school years, Nancy met the love of her life, Gary Pollock, and they were married on Sept. 3, 1983. On May 16, 1984, Gary and Nancy welcomed their only child, Brooke. Being a mom to Brooke was one of her favorite joys, along with crafting, decorating and golfing. Shortly after the birth of their beloved daughter, Nancy and Gary bought the Meat and Poultry Palace and, together, created a business that many can only dream of. Working six days a week for 34 years, their love for each other only grew stronger and, as Gary said, “not many people get to spend 24 hours a day with their beautiful wife.”

Nancy is survived by her loving husband Gary; daughter Brooke (Brad) Schneider and soon to be first grandbaby Adalynn; parents Ronald and Violet (Krum) Balzer; brother Terral (Tammy) Balzer; sister Tracey (Mike) Kragt; and sister Lori (Jeff) Moll; along with many nieces and nephews.

“If roses grow in Heaven, Lord, please pick a bunch for me. Place them in my Mother’s arms and tell her they’re from me. Tell her that I love and miss her, and when she turns to smile, place a kiss upon her cheek and hold her for a while. Because remembering her is easy, I do it every day, but there’s an ache within my heart that will never go away.” — I love you, Mom!

A celebration of life will be Saturday, Feb. 27, at 11 a.m. or shortly after as Nancy was never on time. Please join us at Chanceys Event Center, 266 Hogan Road, Huntley, MT 59037.
