Eugene Thomas Oblander

Eugene Thomas Oblander (Tommy/Opa) was born in Billings, MT, to George and Lydia Oblander on Feb. 16, 1940.  He was the youngest of four.  Tm spent his life on the family farm raising beets, corn, and wheat.  He met and married Linda Starr in 1966.  They had two children Rocky and Kim. 
Tom enjoyed going to his kids’ sporting events.  They owned a bar, Lindya’s Scoop, in Billings that kept them busy.  He retired from farming and enjoyed chasing after his seven grandchildren.  He often loved playing jokes on them.  Tom lived in Ballantine until this last fall when he moved in with his son Rocky to be taken care of.  He left this life surrounded by family.

Tom is survived by Rocky (Shantel) Oblander and Kim (KC) Wittman.  Don and June Starr and his nephews Rick and Randy Starr.  His nephew Dave and Shelley Oblander and their son Levi.  His seven grandchildren:   Richard (Brittany), Jessica (Brian), Justine (Caleb), Jacob (Courtney), Seeley (Tom), Lindsey, and Gunnar. Twelve great grandchildren:   Bridget, Cruz, Blaze, Cael, Layla, Rykkard, Giana, Kyler, Kaylynn, Brayden, Colten, and Hayden.  He was preceded in death by Linda his wife, George and Lydia his mother and father, and his siblings, Harold, Dorthy, and Walter.
