Not selling LIEAP funded propane

Dear Editor,

A couple years ago I started filling people’s propane bottles.  I had written a “Letter To The Editor” in an attempt to explain that while I do receive LIEAP funded propane; I DO NOT and I WILL NOT sell any LIEAP funded propane to anyone.  Please DO NOT ASK to me to sell you LIEAP funded propane; it will not happen.

I started this small business to help underprivileged people in my community.

The propane that I do sell is propane that I pay for with money out of my very own pocket or I use my very own credit card.

Some nice person has had the audacity to tell LIEAP that I was selling LIEAP funded propane.  While it has caused me some problems, it will not stop me from selling propane that I paid for to whoever I wish to sell propane to.  It is also going to cost the government (the tax payer) more for the propane, because there is a 200 gallon minimum delivery.  Anything less than 200 gallons there is an added cost per gallon of propane.  Yesterday my propane was delivered, but the driver could only get 70 gallons in my tank.

You haven’t hurt me, but you may have hurt someone else while trying to get at me.  Must make you real happy.
