MT Republicans Elect Next Leadership, Yellowstone County Dominates Senate Leadership

Montana House and Senate Republicans have elected their leadership for the 69th Legislative Session with Senator Matt Regier of Kalispell to serve as the next President of the Senate and Representative Brandon Ler of Savage to serve as the Speaker of the House.

Others to serve in House leadership positions include Rep. Steve Fitzpatrick of Great Falls as Majority Leader and Rep. Katie Zolnikov of Billings as Speaker Pro Tempore.   Rep. Amy Regier of Kalispell, Rep. Braxton Mitchell of Whitefish, Rep. Steve Gist of Cascade, Rep. Jedediah Hinkle of Belgrade and Rep. Marta Bertoglio of Clancy have all been elected as House Majority Whips.

In the Senate, Republican senators have elected Senator Ken Bogner of Miles City as the next Senate President Pro Tempore and Senator Tom McGillvray of Billings as the Senate Majority Leader. Senators Dennis Lenz of Billings, Barry Usher of Billings, Sue Vinton of Lockwood, and Daniel Zolnikov of Billings have been chosen as the Senate Majority Whips.
