Metra Manager Responds to Mismanagement Claims

by Michael J. Marino

Metra Park General Manager, Tim Goodridge, sent a letter to Yellowstone County News responding to the allegations of mismanagement on October 28, calling the situation with Richard Todd’s event a “misunderstanding.”

YCN’s October 21 edition (pg. 1) ran a story regarding accusations from local event promoters, which included discriminatory practices against certain events and not upholding the terms of previously signed contracts, among others.

In his letter, Goodridge claims that Todd did not ask about extending his Dream Chasers Supercross event to include training days, until “after the original contract was executed… which require[d] a signed addendum…”

Goodridge further wrote, “Unfortunately, the addendum, which was executed on July 12, 2022, to include these two days was done after the November 9 date, which would be required to move dirt in for the track, was already challenged and accepted on April 6, 2022, for the Bert Kreischer show.” According to Goodridge, this rendered November 10 impossible as a training day for Todd’s event.
