Let’s shine a brighter light on politics

8Dear Editor,

“As Montanans, we exhibit and demand honesty and integrity, ‘say it like it is and no beating around the bush’.  We all, regardless of party, should want full disclosure…”  Truer words cannot be spoken.  However, these words must be taken literally to be as honest as portrayed.

We do have the right to know what really happened at our embassy in Benghazi.  We do have the right to know the details of the Obama administration’s Uranium One deal to the Russian Nuclear Energy Agency.  We do have the right to know the truth about Russian collusion.  Obama’s open mic statement for Vladimir Putin to, then Russian president, Dmitry Medvedev that he, Obama, would have “more flexibility” after the election, might just be a clue.

“This is a free country and we shouldn’t have anything hidden from us, kept away in the dark depths of political reticence.”  We must convene a grand jury, spend over two years and 30 million dollars in investigating the eight years of the Obama administration and everyone involved with said administration.  The very day this report is completed we must set it next to the Mueller report and make both of them public information simultaneously.

“For our state and country to heal from the deep divisions that have been spurred by rhetoric, we all deserve to know what happened—regardless of whether there is innocence or corruption…We all deserve closure for the sake of sanity.”

With the exception of the Obama quote of “more flexibility” all quotes are from the 3/29/19 Jennifer Merecki column.
