Inconvenience of Local Meeting Times

Dear Editor,

It always frustrates me that some businesses have their meetings on Wednesday nights during Lent.

This year is a really good example of not wanting the voting public at their meetings.  Huntley Project Irrigation and Valley Farmers’ Supply have their meeting the same day, same time.  Valley Farmers’ Supply supplies feed, seed, and fuel for the farmers in the community. The irrigation district supplies water for the crops and some livestock.  God provides life to all on this rock floating in space.  So, do I go to the Lenten service to praise and thank God for life, go to the co-op meeting to find out how much profit they made, or to the Irrigation meeting to find out IF we will have water this year.  For me God and the prophets of old come before profits.
