I would like to share my opinion about making old classic movies into new trashy movies, like the new Jumanji movie.
I don’t see any reason to make good classics into trashy movies. The old Jumanji movie was a good fun classic movie, whereas the new Jumanji movie completely trashy. The new Jumanji movie trailer is filled with inappropriate humor, cursing, and violence which says a lot about the movie. The original Jumanji movie is rated PG, but the new one is rated PG-13. The makers purposely made the new one trashy.
Plus, they made it a video game instead of the original board game featured in the original movie. Just because people today like video games doesn’t mean you should turn a movie about a board game into a movie about a video game.
The makers totally changed everything about the old Jumanji movie to make the new movie just so people would enjoy the movie. So my opinion is they should not make new trashy movies about classic older ones.
