Huntley Project Museum Celebrates 50 Years 

Huntley Project (HP) Museum celebrated its 50th anniversary on Saturday, June 25 by hosting an event that included activities such as carnival games, a craft fair, and a rubber duck regatta. Live music from a local band was also featured, making it a full day of festivities for all ages.

told visitors about some of
the artifacts on display in
the museum such as old irrigation
equipment, and that
canal running behind the
museum is the original canal
from when the Huntley Project
Irrigation District began
back in 1907.

Director Neal Gunnels told YCN about the museum’s history, stating it was incorporated _ in 1973 by the Lions Club and Farmers’ Union (now called Valley Farmers’ Supply) after they received a collection of machinery and other historic items from around the area.
