Over 1,500 Dig It Days 2024 T-shirt will be given away for free to kids, teenagers and adults until shirts are gone.
Getting a Dig It Days t-shirt has come to be a tradition at MontanaFair. This year’s t-shirt is a bright green, one that you won’t want to miss.
Among the many give-aways at Dig It Days are one thousand t-shirts each of the two days – Friday and Saturday, August 16 and 17. There was a shortage of larger sizes last year, so more of the larger sizes were ordered this year. They are given away on a first come, first serve basis so don’t miss getting your t-shirt.
All our major sponsors are recognized for their tremendous support of Dig It Days with logos placed on the back. Dig It Days would not be remotely possible if it weren’t for the contributions and hard work of our sponsors, so be sure and tell them thank you when you have an opportunity.
Everything at Dig It Days is free, and this year entry into MontanaFair can also be free by picking up a complimentary ticket at one of our sponsor locations.
Dig it Days is meant for kids, teenagers and adults to have fun and learn about the construction and energy industries. It’s an opportunity for kids to inspect, climb on and take pictures of the big pieces of equipment that are important to the building of our communities.
Dig It Days gives kids (and adults) of all ages an opportunity to operate backhoes and excavators, under supervision of experienced operators – and some of those kids are “oldsters” who have always wanted to try their hand at operating one of the big machines.
A very popular feature is “Sand Mountain,” where kids can play and dig in the sand to their heart’s content. And – you (kids that is) can win great prizes at Sand Mountain. Just start digging in the dirt and see what you find.
This year, there will be about $2,000 worth of cash given away during Dig It Days, some of the money will be buried in the sandpile in quarters for kids to find and keep, teenagers and young adults ages 14-22 years old will be able to operate heavy equipment for a chance to win a $200 cash prizes each day from a drawing. Anyone can go on Facebook and post the best Dig It Days picture with #digitdays in the post and win $200 cash each day. Heavy Equipment Operators will race against each other in moving eggs with their backhoe and trackhoe to win $400 on Saturday August 17 @ 2pm.
