Genealogy Group gets the Boot From Billings Parmley Library

The Yellowstone Genealogy Forum (YGF) Group has been told to vacate their room in the Billings Parmley Library by July 15th. YGF is a group that formed in 1977 after a miniseries named Roots aired on television which got people interested in their family history. The group moved to the Billings Public Library and has been there for over 40 years. In this time, YGF has taught many genealogy classes at the library, helped Girl Scouts begin research on family history, taught Boy Scout classes, held classes at City College, PEO Clubs and the Festival of Cultures, and has sponsored a Humanities Montana program at the library.
