Obituary: Esther Fox

Esther Fox, 92, of Worden passed away on February 19, 2019, with her family by her side at the Riverstone Hospice House.

Esther was born on April 23, 1926, in Laurel  to Henry and Mollie (Thiel) Ostwalt. She married Alex “Shorty”  Fox on September 21, 1946.

They farmed in Laurel and moved to Worden in 1951 where they continued to farm. She helped on the farm and also raised their 3 children, Susie, Larry, and Tammy. Esther lived there until her time of death.

Esther loved to cook, make noodles, knit & crochet, doing puzzle books, and also putting together jigsaw puzzles. She especially loved to sew, making beautiful tablerunners, dish towels, and potholders. She loved to bowl league. Most  of all, she loved her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids and was blessed to have 2 great-great grandkids.

Esther is preceded in death by her husband, Shorty, her parents, 2 sisters, and 2 brothers.

She is survived by her children, Susie VanDierendonk (Wayne), Larry Fox, and Tammy Danielson (Neil). Her grandchildren are Darlene Hirst (Brad), Shelly Palfrey (Reggie), Brandon Fox (Kolbi), Stephanie Danielson, Patrick Willis (Christy) and Tim Willis (Michelle). Her great grandchildren are Delaney and Mariah, Anthony and Tayler, Kaite, Cole, and Emily, Alex, Taryn and Kieran, Gabe, Gavin and Blake, Caden, Kael and Kyleigh. Her great-great grandchildren are Liam and Laylah.

She is also survived by 3 brothers, 2 sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The viewing will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 25, 2019. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Heights Family Funeral Home at 733 W. Wicks Lane. A luncheon reception will follow the service. A private burial will directly follow the lunch at the Pleasant View Cemetery in Ballantine, MT.
