Dunns Demand for Resignation of St. John for Alleged Fraud, Misconduct

by Michael J. Marino

Wesley and Amber Dunn launched a campaign via public comment to bring light to the alleged “misconduct” and “fraudulent” actions of Billings Chief of Police Rich St. John at the Billings City Council meeting on September 12.

Wesley Dunn began his comments by passing out a personality test that his employer had him complete, and said his results showed he is a “defender.”

“So, if I come off hostile or wanting to fight,” he stated, “that’s why.” Wesley says he wants to fight “for what’s right,” however, clarifying that he did not wish to “physically fight anyone.”

The Dunns’ original complaint was about one of their neighbors on Dorothy Lane in the Billings Heights being a purported “drug dealer,” “crackhead,” “sex trafficker,” and a myriad of other unflattering accusations which the family felt put them and others at a significant safety risk.

However, now it seems their issue is less with the problematic neighbor and has now shifted to Chief St. John and the Billings Police Department (BPD).

During a meeting held August 4, Wesley stated that after listening to St. John speak for a few minutes, he “got up and walked out… because [St. John] lied straight to my face.”

“What that meeting taught me is that the city doesn’t like it very much when you scream and yell at your crackhead neighbors for almost 24 hours,” said Wesley.

“I also learned that Mr. Rich himself is a liar,” he reasserted.

Wesley also welcomed any members of the community who may be facing similar struggles as the ones his family have described to reach out to him via email at opclearinghouse@gmail.com because he said, “I want to help.” Mayor Bill Cole informed Wesley his three minutes was up, however, he kept re-iterating his desire to help folks such as “single moms whose kid’s bike got stolen by crackheads,” until the mayor became visibly upset, asking him to “sit down” after banging the gavel.
