Daylight Savings May be Lost to Us

Dear Editor,

Saw somewhere Congress has considered making «daylight stupid time» permanent, again.  They tried that several years ago in November, killed several school children waiting for the bus.   The only business I know it might help is the utilities, peck morning hours when people are getting ready for work and school.  The making of breakfast, turning up the heat, all the lights on, then just as it starts to get light enough or warm up a bit, back into the dark.  Several businesses have summer and winter hours, what is wrong with changing your hours to meet your schedule instead of the clock?   The only reason for a clock is so meetings and other events can start on time.
