Dear Editor,
If you want to talk about petty things, I have an issue with the term “Americans.” Most all those people south of the border are Americans, also. Americans, includes more than U S citizens.
Krayton talks about the American dream and our rights as human beings, yet it has become a free for all. We don’t care how many people we trample or what damage we leave behind for that almighty dollar. A couple Republican candidates look at the “treasure state” as a great place to turn a profit for their eastern buddies. We will create jobs, those exploiting the land and its people, and then those who have to clean up after they leave. The copper kings have returned.
Most all people on this rock want the same thing: a decent living, life with dignity and respect. The ideals and intentions may be the same, but the implementation sometimes is in question. Are we talking short term or long term? Instant gratification and profit or benefit for humanity?
This election is a very hard choice. My personal choice is a write-in candidate, “None of the above.”
