Obituary: Dallas Mittlestadt

Dallas Mittlestadt

With deepest sorrow, we announce that Dallas Mittlestadt, age 22 of Shepherd, MT.  Dallas passed away suddenly on September 12, 2021, in a tragic accident.  Those who knew Dallas, even a little, lost a shining light in their lives.

Dallas was born on November 11, 1998, to Don and Kelly Mittlestadt in Shepherd, MT.  Dallas attended and graduated from Shepherd High School. Dallas was an amazing athlete, playing football and basketball for the Shepherd Mustangs. Although Dallas’ athletic ability on the football field was insurmountable, he chose to follow his passion of roping and riding. At a very young age, Dallas began following in his father’s footsteps in the rodeo arena, participating in Young Riders, Shaw’s Youth Rodeo and Tryan’s Wrangler Roping. Dallas then went on to college at Northwestern in Powell to rodeo and pursue welding.

Dallas was employed at Big Sky Bobcat Billings and enjoyed the knowledge he was gaining through his employment.  He was a member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 6774.

Dallas was very excited about becoming a daddy. Walker Ace Duane Mittlestadt is due to arrive January 2022. (May God Bless You Madi and baby Walker!)

Dallas was preceded in death by his father Don Mittlestadt; grandparents Richard and Helen Mittlestadt, Jerry McCreary; and uncle Steven Mittlestadt.

Dallas is survived by his fiancé, Madi Pearson; Madi’s parents John and Kristie Pearson; his mother Kelly Mittlestadt; grandmother Cathy Evans; brothers Dillon Mittlestadt, Coby Fisher, and Tyler Hutchison; sisters Mikayla Buckingham and Milaka Buckingham; uncles Jim McCreary and John McCreary; aunts Cindy (Duane) Cudmore, Glenna (Tony) Lee, Kim Stein, and Karla Foster; cousins Amber, Katie, Tara, Tami, Jeremy, Bobbie Jo, Ali, Amanda; and Godmother Candiss Jett.

Although Dallas made many amazing friends through his journey in life, his best friends included Tyler Craig, Chase and Kash Darnell and Bryce Mocabee.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families of Tyler and Kayleigh; may you all rest in peace.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Chancey’s Event Center (266 Hogan Rd, Huntley, MT) on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at 4 pm.
