Obituary: Roland “Rollie” Sannes

Roland “Rollie” Sannes, 79 of Billings MT passed away peacefully June 22, 2020 surrounded by family.

He was born to parents Cyril and Mary Sannes along with his twin brother Ron, on February 25th 1941.

He graduated from Billings Central High School in 1960.  Rollie worked in the auto parts industry at local auto parts stores until he retired in the mid 90’s. His hobbies included fishing, camping, arrowhead hunting, watching the Minnesota Vikings and the Twins.

He has been married to Linda Sannes for the past 43 years.  He is survived by his wife Linda, his children Annamarie Sannes of Seattle, Wa, Cindy Christensen (Troy) of Tigard, Or., Mary Toteve (Jason) of Billings Mt, Debbie Sannes of Billings, MT. , Gabriel O’Connell of Denver, Co. 4 grandchildren whom he loved dearly, Alyssa, Jeffrey and Jordan Springer of Billings, MT. and Lauren Aguilar of Billings, MT.  His twin brother Ron Sannes (Linda) of Shepherd MT, sisters Peggy Ann Akerstrom (Jack) of Billings MT and Kay Sietz (Tony) of Billings MT.  He is preceded in death by his parents Cy and Mary Sannes, his sweet nephew Richie Sannes and many close relatives.

Rollie was an avid music buff who loved all music except the “new country and that rap stuff”.  He was great at playing any air instrument you asked him to. He was very knowledgeable in many subjects including native american history and music.

The family would like to thank The Billings Clinic ICU and ICC for taking care of dad and making him comfortable.

No services are planned and cremation has taken place.  A family gathering to celebrate his life will be August 15th, 2020.  In Rollies words “Dilly Dilly”!
