Rethink Outdoors Column’s political commentary

Dear Editor,

This is my first letter to your very interesting newspaper (the rest will be way shorter), and up to this point appears to be a truth filled newspaper, not a liberal, pundit laced tabloid such as the Billings Gazette has become.  The Gazette will not print certain commentary if it appears to be heavily conservative, or what I believe is pouring salt on their open liberal wounds.  I have written to the Gazette a number of times, and just recently was told that my commentary to what I considered an insulting print by an individual, Bob Schulze from Hysham, the Gazette felt that I was “attacking” Mr. Schulze with my response.  I enclose a copy of my letter to the Gazette on that issue for your reading interest.

My point to address is your writer for the Outdoors Carl Wolf, who is probably the most ill-informed political writer on your payroll, or the most hate filled individual in your organization.  Rita Frasure comments in your Jan 04, 2019 that she will no longer read Carl Wolf’s column due to the comment he printed regarding semi-Americans (Republicans).  One thing that puzzles me is why your paper would allow Mr. Wolf to combine biology/outdoors subjects, which are interesting, with his liberal political views that are saliently filled with hatred towards President Trump and Republican voters…Odd!

If Mr. Wolf is going to comment on his liberal views, he should have a column on that alone.  Maybe he feels somewhat protected if he combines the two, or maybe he feels that no one will read his column on his liberal political views if he is allowed to have the two columns.  My writing classes taught me to stick with one subject, tell folks what you’re going to tell them, tell them, then tell them what you told them.  Mr. Wolf’s subjects are two-fold, i.e., he starts on one subject, jumps to his liberal political views, then back to the main subject or another subject.  He has no objectivity in his writing.  Again, odd!

My first three paragraphs are on your paper’s premise of allowing one of your writers to mix interesting subjects with liberal political view.  I thought Mr. Wolf’s writing on the Quetzalcoatlus was very good! He ruined the flow of his story with his lop-sided view of politics.  One of your editors should really look at Mr. Wolf’s future writings to see if he “sticks” to the subject.  The following words will be a rebuttal, if you will allow, on Mr. Wolf’s liberal Democrat views.  To “set him straight,”, so to speak, by this Disabled Viet Nam Veteran. I will speak on truth in my commentary.

I can see why Rita Frasure is disgusted with Carl Wolf, and I’m sure he has embittered dozens of your readers.  You have a read-easy, interesting newspaper, but liberal political issues like what Carl Wolf writes about, just do not fit with “The Outdoors.”  I’ve been known to write/rebut on subjects with incendiary, mordant response, and will even set America’s offenders in a public pillory when it comes to exposing what I consider offenses against the tax payer, the working person.  I’m not a well-known writer, nor a professional writer, but on occasion will rebut offensive subjects to the media that prints it.  As I mentioned earlier, the Billings Gazette many times will NOT print my comments, though truthful and conservative.  They are embarrassed by the truth.

In your January 04, 2019 issue, Carl Wolf writes that he tries to provoke folks into thinking for themselves instead of relying on prejudice… prejudice towards who, on what subject?  He does not make this clear.  Then “awe over an immoral lifestyle,” what does that mean?  Again, he does not make it clear who he is directing this to.  He does however make it clear, salient and conspicuous about who he is alluding to when he writes “When we are led by a liar.”  Mr. Wolf, you are talking, you are lying about our President Trump, as anyone can “read through the lines.”  It is comments like this that I use to expose the hypocrites, like you Mr. Wolf.

You forgot to let your readers know, Mr. Wolf, that you kept your “crumbs” that President Trump allowed you and us to have, so that in many households, those “crumbs” mean meat in the freezer, food in the fridge, extra milk for the grade schoolers, a decent lunch for the over the road freighter that his wife fixed for him until she sees him in the next nine or ten days, or the extra $20.00 our police, sheriff deputies EMTs and nurses get to dry clean their uniforms with.  Oh, let’s not forget the stay-at-home mom that is studying to get a better job in the future, those “crumbs” allow her to buy a $40.00 or $60.00 book required for her classes.  You, Carl Wolf, need to take the “crumbs” you get and send them back to Liberal Governor Bullock.  Be sure to tell Governor Bullock that you are willing to take in a Libyan, South American or Arabian family of 4, feed them, cloth them, pay for their English classes, their children’s I Phones, her husband’s daily pack of cigarettes, as the men only are allowed to smoke (that’s a small savings for you, as only one family member smokes – indoors!) You will offend the husband if you tell him to step outside of your home to smoke.  You will also be learning about praying on rugs to a God of New, since you don’t have one anyway.

You are confused with your comment that a “deadlocked Congress” will make our country ‘great’(your parentheses) again.  It’s NOT the Congress, Sir, it is God alone, through Donald John Trump that will make America Great Again.  And Sir, you obviously do not believe in God, or you would not have such a hate filled veil to look through.  Our Lord put Mr. Trump in that office to expose persons/politicians that no doubt, you venerate, e.g., Pelosi, Schumer, Adam Schiff, Mueller and especially the liberal apologist that occupied the Oval Office for 8 years and was taking America into the Democrat sewers of the Liberal Left.

I found it most admirable the view and comment by your colleague Dr. Krayton Kerns in the Jan 10, 2019 issue of the Western AG Reporter: “Democrats … crave absolute power… and will destroy any and all who obstruct their quest to be in the ruling class…they deem the Constitution as old and outdated… and consider it as meaningless ceremony.”  You as a Liberal Democrat, no doubt subscribe to and cherish this secular, Liberal ideology.

Thank you, and At Your Service,
