Dear Editor,
I read the recent article by Crystal Murdock, “Stockman Bank steps up after Government Shutdown,” in the January 11, 2019 YCN, page 1. I’d have to agree with Jon Tester in the last paragraph of the article. Ms. Murdock writes that Jon Tester announced he believes the withholding of pay was just a gimmick. According to our Montana Senator, Jon Tester, Democrats do want border security. Last year (2017), $21 billion was appropriated for border security. In 2018 it was $21 1/2 billion.
Tester took an oath of office to protect this country first (USA). Whether fake or real news, I believe he (Tester) is sincere when he was quoted as saying, “We can debate on how to secure the border, but it should not be done by holding the American people hostage.” I continue to hold the original copy of this letter to the editor that I write.
Simple math. Our 45th President Trump has been married three times, according to my research online. Perhaps to some people marriage is just a gimmick. Montana Senator Jon Tester remains married to his one and only wife since 1978, according to what I read online.
