Naomi Boley

On September 2, 2024, our beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-grandmother winged her way to Heaven.

She was born on November 13, 1927, to William H. and Ethelyn May Ellis in Verona, PA.  In 1929, when she was 18 months old, she lost her mother to cancer, and was raised by  one of her Aunt’s, Lena White, aka “Auntie”. In 1945, she graduated from Barnesboro High School, Barnesboro, PA.

On February 16, 1946, she was united in marriage to James R. Crouse. They were married for 29 years before they were divorced.

In 1981, she married Jess Boley.  They were married for 20 years until 2001 when we sadly loss him. Until his death, they would travel around the USA, and on weekends they ventured out to the local garage sales.

Naomi was a very independent and resourceful individual. She would take anything given to her and would either freeze, bake, or cook it. She would let nothing would go to waste.

She had a love for crafts. She participated in local craft shows right up until her death. First, she did ceramics then switched to crocheting and sewing. Her crocheted afghans were well loved by those who received them. She also made snuggly fleece blankets and painted a few water color pictures.

She was also extremely active in the local community.  She was a member of the Shepherd and Huntley Seniors. the Huntley United Methodist Women’s, Pine View Quilters, and a life time member of the VFW. She loved to donate to the Riverstone Young Families.

She is survived by her children James (Chrys) Crouse, Linda Morken, and Carol (Doug) Rosin. She is also survived by Jess’s daughters, Cheryl (Rick) Hall, Carolyn (Tom) Yampradit and Jana (Dennis) Jasper. She was the proud grandmother of 14 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Crouse, her parents, two siblings, John Turner and Laura Jean Griffin, and husbands James and Jess.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to her caregivers at Riverstone Hospice and the Heights Legacy Assisted Living for their compassionate care and friendship to our mother.

A service will be held on September 14, 2024 at 11:00 am, at the United Methodist Church, in Huntley. A reception will follow the memorial service with food provided by the Huntley United Methodist Faith. A family burial will take placed at a later date.
