Obituary: Nancy Kay Byxbe

Nancy Kay Byxbe passed away April 10, 2020.  She was born in Bismarck, ND, on October 28, 1948, to Edwin and Margaret Dietzman.

She moved with the family to the Livingston area at a young age, later moving on to the Billings area where she went to school at Billings Central High School.

In 1976, while working at Great Western Sugar, Nancy met the love of her life and married Lauris Byxbe in December of that year.  She was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Shepherd and served the church in various ways.  Nancy loved her garage sales and helped with the church sale every year.

When her children became of 4-H age, they were enrolled.  A couple of years later Nancy became a leader and served for over 35 years.  She loved the children and the fair; 4-H became a second family.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, a daughter Lywnda and her children Anna, Wesley and Nicoli and a granddaughter Lilly, a son Clinton (Brandie) with Hunter and Austin, and her older sisters, Ardyth Schott and Arlyth Sarver.

Cremation is planned and services are planned for a later date. Condolences may be shared at smithfuneralchapels.com.
