Obituary: David Severn Brown

David Severn Brown

David Severn Brown, 81, Loving Husband, Dad, Grandpa, Great Grandpa, Friend and Believer in our Heavenly Father. Forever in our hearts and now face to face with Jesus our Savior. All of his family and friends were deeply blessed to have known him. He brought a smile to all he met, a joke to share, and a story to tell. Loving and compassionate, he would connect and talk with everyone, everyone. He taught us all to enjoy the journey, to reach out to strangers, and get to know them. He enjoyed music, dancing, golf, billiards, swimming, diving, flying, scuba diving, boating, photography, movies, politics, people, and serving his church and anyone in need around him.

God was constantly in his heart, and he had many ‘go to’ Bible verses. One of his favorite’s was 1 John 5:11-13 “And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.” He lived and shared God’s Word and Love with others.

Dave’s life journey started in Montana, however, his curiosity and exploratory nature, took him on many fun adventures. As he struggled with health, he and Toni settled with family in Boise Idaho. He was a United States Army Veteran serving his county in South Korea, and served in his local communities and church. He wasn’t afraid to try something new, like rebuilding an antique player piano, embracing some of the first computers, or getting his pilot’s license. His sense of adventure and gift of communication made Dave the ultimate salesman and entrepreneur. He had a keen way of helping others to discover a need they had, and helped them to fulfill it. However, he would be the first to give all the Glory to God.
