Another Body Found in the Yellowstone River

Deputies were dispatched to the Custer area on Saturday for a dead body report.  At approximately 2:15 PM on August 22, 2020, deputies responded to the Yellowstone River in the area of Custer Frontage Road and Road 39 South regarding human remains found by a hunter.  This is the third body recovered in the Yellowstone River within six weeks. An adult male, Troy Gardner, 54 was discovered on July 22 near the Huntley bridge, and human bones were found near Road 25 in Worden on June 30.   read more

The Fans Are Back! Huntley Project School District Announces Some Spectators Will be Allowed at Activities

The decision regarding spectators at athletic events and other activities can now be made at the discretion of each school following a meeting held today between John Felton, CEO of RiverStone Health, and local school district superintendents and athletic directors. This is a reversal of a previous directive banning any spectators from all school activities. Earl “Pud” Dean Inman peacefully passed away the morning of August 25th, 2020, at the age of 92.  Earl was born May 10, 1928, in Amadon, North Dakota, to his loving parents George and Blanche Inman.  He grew up in Amadon, graduated and had an immense love for baseball. Earl met and married his wife Donna; he together they had five beautiful children. read more

Lockwood Shooting Investigation Ongoing

On Friday, Aug. 7th around 2:30 in the afternoon, a shooting was reported on Noblewood Drive in Lockwood. Yellowstone County Sheriff’s deputies responded to find a 60-year-old man with gunshot wounds. He was promptly transported to a local hospital to receive treatment for his injuries, and is still alive as of Tuesday the 11th. read more
