Eleven Suspects Charged, One Dead After Major Drug Trafficking Bust

The U.S. Attorney’s Office reports that ten persons arrested for alleged drug trafficking on two Indian Reservations and in three counties were arraigned in federal court April 21. Another individual was arraigned on April 20 for a related case, according to U.S. Attorney for the District of Montana, Jesse Laslovich.

YCN reported last week, federal agents arrested 10 of defendants on April 19 in a coordinated takedown. The takedown involved multiple law enforcement officers at various locations where the suspects were alleged to be trafficking meth.  These locations included the Crow and Northern Cheyenne Indian Reservations, as well as Yellowstone, Big Horn and Rosebud Counties.

A 13-count indictment alleges that multiple defendants conspired to possess with intent to distribute meth from January 2022 through March 2023 in the Billings area and the other areas already mentioned. The indictment further alleges possession and distribution, trafficking crimes, firearms crimes and conspiracy to commit money laundering.
