Dear Editor,
Please welcome the new leaders of the Heights Task Force elected at the October meeting: Chair Frank Ewalt, First Vice Chair Ed Hostettler, Second Vice Chair Nancy Steel and Secretary Pam Ellis.
The HTF meets the fourth Tuesday of each month, 7:00 pm at the Oasis Water Park. The next meeting of the Heights Task Force will be Tuesday, November 22.
The Mission Statement of the Task Force “shall be to improve the quality of life and promote community spirit through the improvement of the heights area, the planning of new development, the upgrading of housing, streets and the development of public infrastructure and facilities”. We welcome all friends and neighbors who live or are interested in the heights area to join us each month.
Thank you to the community members and the elected representatives who met with us in October including County Commissioner Denis Pitman, city council members Roy Neese and Jennifer Owen, school board member Teresa Larsen, Senators Doug Kary and Tom McGilvray, and Representatives Larry Brewster and Kerry Seekins Crowe and candidates Mike Yakawich and Terry Dennis. We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday, November 22nd.
We need to set goals and priorities for the upcoming year and want to know your ideas.
