Dorothy E. Krum
Dorothy E. Krum, 91 of Billings formerly of Huntley, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at her beloved home at Wyndstone. She was born May 15, 1930 in Ballantine, MT to Henry and Katie Krum and graduated from Huntley Project High School.
Dorothy worked very hard raising her four children on the farm in Huntley. She was an excellent sales clerk at Hart-Albin, Hennesy’s, and Dilliards, which was the perfect job for her, as she was a sharp dresser and meticulous in everything she did.
Dorothy moved to Billings where she enjoyed spending time with friends, including her Red Hat Ladies. They enjoyed dancing, listening to live music and traveling together. Dorothy was also a wonderful cook, and enjoyed the outdoors.
In December 2017, mom moved to Independent Living at Wyndstone. She loved her new place and doing activities with fellow residents.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her son Danny Gabel, brothers Ernie and Elmer Krum, sister Ruby Lovgren, and her parents.
She is survived by three children: Randy (Terri) Gabel, Sandy (Doug) Renner, and Duane Gabel; grandchildren Trish (Wendell) Hays, Rhonda (Clint) Torczon, Travis (Heather) Gabel, and Tyler (Cara) Gabel.
Per Dorothy’s request, cremation has taken place and a Graveside Service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, April 15, at Huntley Cemetery. All are welcome. To leave condolences for the family, visit www.heightsfamilyfuneralhome.com.
