Margaret Ann Caster
Margaret Ann Caster of Canyon Creek Memory Care, formally of Worden, passed away in the wee hours of the morning of July 8, 2020. Margaret was born November 16, 1931, in the Chariton, Iowa area.
She was the first of two daughters born to Jay and Susan Oxenreider. She grew up in different places and graduated from Huntley Project High School in Worden, Class of 1949.
She married Richard “Beans” Caster on July 31, 1949. From this union four children were born: Arnie, Jay (Greg), Jack and Susie. She started working in the Worden Post Office under then Postmaster Dave Bowen. She eventually became the Postmaster and worked for the Post Office for over 28 years, retiring in November of 1991.
Those preceding her in death are her parents, Jay and Susan Oxenreider, Husband Richard, Oldest son Arnie, Daughter in law Margaret (Tempero). Survivors are her sister, Carolyn Krum, Son Jay (Julie), Son Jack (Regina), and Daughter Susie Caster Bruski. Margaret has eleven grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will take place at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Worden VFW, Sunnyside Library, or a charity of your choice.
