Yellowstone County MVD Switches to Appointment Only Services for Now

During this COVID-19 precautionary interlude, there will be no waiting in line at the County Courthouse to renew vehicle licensing. In an effort to protect the health of county employees and patrons, the Motor Vehicle Department is only accepting scheduled appointments for walk-in service, announced County Treasurer Sherry Long, early this week.

People may schedule an appointment by going to the county website under the Motor Vehicle Department at the following link  https:// www.co. yellowstone.mt.gov/ Treasurer/ MotorV/ apptcal.asp

Vehicle licenses may also be renewed on line by going to the following website: https//app.mt.gov/vrr/renewal/index.html

People may also drop off their renewal at the mailbox located outside the main door of the County Courthouse, located at 217 N 27th Street.

Long reminded the public that their offices are open, and they are available by phone. Patrons may call (406) 256-2833 with questions, renewals or to schedule an appointment.

People may also mail in requests to Yellowstone County Treasurer,  PO BOX 35011,  Billings,  MT 59107.
