Obituary: Gary Eldon Sherrodd

Gary Eldon Sherrodd, age 79, was born October 12, 1940 in Billings, MT, the son of Cleo Augustus Sherrodd and Thelma Ida (Phelps) Sherrodd and had lived for the past nine years in Hugo after living most of his life in Huntley Project Montana. His parents preceded him in death as well as brother, Gale Manning Sherrodd & Sister-in-law Judith (Long) Sherrodd.

Gary was first an art teacher and then a minister, he was affiliated with the Church of the Nazarene. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving his country from 1959-1963. He enjoyed wood art, woodworking, reading and being around children. He always loved teaching and life and was a genuinely nice person. Gary married the love of his life Patty Crouse on December 27, 1961 in Billings, MT. Their life was spent in the service of the Lord, wherever they were led. Until his final breath he lived the life the Lord blessed him with. Always and never wavering.

Survivors include: His wife, Patty Sherrodd; son, Curtis Sherrodd and wife, Barbara of Hugo; daughter, Tammy White and husband, Chet of Hugo; two brothers, Leo Lee Sherrodd (Charlotte) of Gillette, Wy and Larry Gene Sherrodd (Annegret) of Pompeys Pillar, MT; Sister-in -law Joan Sherrodd of La Mirada, Calif; grandchildren, Zachary Jacob of Virginia, Zach Thomas, Kalen and Jeremy of Billings MT; nineteen great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and cousins along with many other relatives and friends.
