The Huntley Project community was struck by tragedy on June 5th when a traffic accident took the lives of two young men. 19-year-old Anthony DeLeo and 21-year-old Taylor Larson were involved in a head-on collision on Highway 312 east of Jute Street just before 6:30pm. Both men tragically died at the scene of the accident. According to the Montana Highway Patrol, a medical helicopter was requested at the scene and had launched but was then told they would not be needed. Highway Patrol Trooper Barry Mitchell closed down Highway 312 after the incident as they attempted to save the young men.
