Obituary: Goldie Marie Dumler

Goldie Marie Dumler was born in a two-room log cabin on the 79 Ranch to Goldie and James Haynie on Oct. 24, 1918, and passed away on the morning of Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2018.

In Custer, Marie met her husband, Herman. They were married Aug. 29, 1942.

Marie went to work for Hoppers Greenhouses and worked there for 27 years. She had been retired, but continued to make Christmas wreaths.

She is survived by sister Lillian Lawrence and brother Bill (Faye); her two daughters, Dolores Mehling and Darlene Dumler; grandsons Randolph, Dean and Phillip Mehling; great-grandsons Phillip Mehling and Samuel Patrick; step-granddaughters Laurie, Rachel, and Makayla Larson, and great-great-grandson Andrew Patrick.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Herman, and her brother Emery (Bum).

Services were held at 10 a.m. Aug. 10 at Bethel Baptist Church in Billings, followed by interment in Fairview Cemetery in Hardin. Memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels, or charity of your choice.

Bullis Funeral Chapel was entrusted with the arrangements.
