The reason I’m an independent is I enjoy objectivity

Dear Editor,

During “McNiven’s Meanderings” in the 7/26/24 issue, Jonathan lists six different bills where Jon Tester’s vote was the “deciding vote.”

So – Senator Tester was the only Senator allowed to vote on the bills? Or – were there other Senators who also mock the “deciding vote?” Did any Republicans vote the same way as Tester?

Come on, Jonathan. Even for an opinion piece, this is sloppy and misleading. I expect better journalism from you.

I’ve complained for years about the Billings Gazette’s left stand, and you’re doing the same thing for the right. The reason I’m an independent is I enjoy objectivity.
