Huntley Farmer’s Market Moves to Pryor Creek Café

Recently the Huntley Farmer’s Market has moved from Barkemeyer Park to Pryor Creek Café. The event that has been going on at the park for many years moved suddenly leaving many in the community confused. The move happened due to a dispute between two parties at the park: the Farmer’s Market and food trucks wanting to sell to those attending the Farmer’s Market. As one didn’t want the other there, a dispute started between the two which eventually led to the Farmer’s Market leaving. “It’s my event and has been my event for twenty plus years,” Sandy Penn responded when asked about the change. “We just chose to try something new. Food trucks and things like that are not a part of our idea.”

The Farmer’s Market originally was held at the Huntley Expressway until it was moved to Barkemeyer Park where it has been ever since.
